Research Associate (f/m/d) Decentralised Data Ecosystems
Job description
The research group "Web Science" deals with the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) methods. This includes the semantic representation of knowledge through knowledge graphs, machine learning, and the processing of natural language.
Your activities include research on methods for decentralized data ecosystems based on the Web architecture, Linked Data, and the Solid protocol family. The use-case in project MANDAT (funded by the European Commission and the German ministry for education and research BMBF, with renowned German academic and industry partners) is from decentralized data ecosystems for financial services. In addition to research work, you will also be active in teaching and you participate in science administration.
There is the possibility of pursuing a doctorate.
Personal qualification
- You have a degree (Master) in Informatics / Computer Science, Information Systems / Business Informatics, or in related fields.
- Ideally, you have experience in:
- Knowledge Graphs / semantic technologies
- Web Architecture
- Data Management
- you find some of the following points interesting:
- Data fiduciaries
- Financial Services
- Legal aspects of data processing (GDPR, Data Act, …)
- Agent Systems
- Web development
- Identities
- Cryptography
- Programming experience is highly advantageous.
- On top, you can excel using a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work in a team.
- A very good command of the English language in speech and writing completes your profile.
- Proficiency in German is very welcome, basic knowledge is required.
Salary
Salary category 13 TV-L, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
