Vacancy No. 1237/2024

Academic Research Assistant, PhD or Postdoc (f/m/d) at the Chair for Economic Policy

part time 70%

KIT is one of eleven universities of excellence in Germany. Embedded in the KIT Faculty of Economics, the Chair of Economic Policy studies how prosperity is created and how it can be secured in the long term in times of multiple crises that do not stop at national borders. Innovations and their wise use and the further development of technologies play important roles in this context. However, it is also important how the interactions between state, economy and society are organized.

We work quantitatively within the framework of theoretical models (dynamic macro theory, game theory). We apply modern methods of data analysis (quantitative text analysis, time series analysis, synthetic control). In addition to teaching and research activities, the chair is active in scientific policy consulting and in knowledge transfer to society.
