Das Scientific Computing Center ist das Informationstechnologie-Zentrum des KIT.
The department Data Analytics, Access and Applications (D3A) is responsible for federated access methods for distributed storage and cloud services, the development and application of scalable tools for Data Analytics and Machine Learning, joint research and development with domain scientists, contributions to the European Open Science Cloud and the integration of research communities in the context of several EU projects.
SCC operates helpdesk systems, among others, for the European Open Science Cloud and is involved in many EOSC projects. For the project EOSC BEYOND we are looking for a new project team member.
The tasks include:
- Collaboration in European project EOSC BEYOND fostering open science and innovative research through the European Open Science Cloud
- Collection and analysis of software requirements
- Software development and configuration to integrate helpdesk systems with other services
- Participation in project meetings, documentation and presentation of results.
Personal qualification
Job requirements:
- Master / Diploma (University)with a major in computer science, natural science, software engineering or comparable
- Strong communication skills and ideally experience with international teams
- Deep technical knowledge of web services and workflows (REST API, authentication, etc.)
- Proven experience in programming
- Knowledge of Linux and Docker are an advantage
- Written and spoken English skills

Salary category 13, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
