Postdoc (f/m/d)
Job description
You will take on the following tasks:
- scientific support of a beamline for X-ray absorption spectroscopy at the KIT Light Source (CAT-ACT)
- structural investigation of mono- and bimetallic nanoparticles for various catalytic processes
- development of further X-ray-based procedures for operando characterization
- coordination of the CAT-ACT measurement operation
- planning and application of time- and spatially-resolved EXAFS, as well as the combination of EXAFS with other spectroscopic methods
- analysis of XANES, EXAFS and catalytic activity data
- collaboration in establishing an EXAFS database for catalysis research and automation the measurement process is desired
- supervision of doctoral candidates and students
Personal qualification
you have:
- a completed scientific university studies (Master / Diploma (University)) in the field of chemistry or physics with a completed doctorate, experience in catalysis, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, scattering methods, infrared spectroscopy and EXAFS data analysis
- several years of professional experience at synchroton radiation sources
- knowledge of modulation excitation spectroscopy and data management is desirable
- experience in material characterization
- the ability to work constructively in an intercultural team

Salary category 13 TV-L, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
